This was my first Jade Summer coloring book, and I didn't really know what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! The artwork is detailed, but no so detailed that you won't enjoy coloring it. Plenty of pages to color, based on Edgar Allen Poe's stories. The artwork is printed on one side, and the opposite side is solid black, so there's absolutely no worry about bleed-through or colors coming through the pages. I usually use colored pencils so this isn't a problem for me, but people who use gel pens seem to hate to see the bleed-through on the back of the page. I'm really glad the book is printed one-sided, though, as I personally cringe when pages are two-sided and I've made lumps and bumps all over the uncolored page from the pressure I used coloring the opposite side As a bonus, this book came with a .pdf copy, so I can print my favorites onto heavier paper, if I wish, and color them again if I have new ideas or new skills I want to try out on a particular page! I'll be picking up more Jade Summer books!
