It's not a book for everyone and probably not often bought by males. This aged male ordered it for two reasons: First, I dabble in illustration art and wanted women's fashion pictures in color for the purpose of inspiration. This book contains lots of them dating from 1890 up to 2010, all of them in the form of "Vogue" magazine covers. The ones in color begin in 1907 or thereabouts, and they are gorgeous. The covers from 1890 until 1910 come 9 to each page. Thereafter in general they are either 4 per page or full page. Attached to the inside of the back cover is a glassine envelope measuring 8 and a half by eleven inches containing 5 individual covers printed on heavy stock. The covers from 1910 until circa 1938 are for the most part drawings in color by outstanding fashion artists. Those covers by themselves are worth buying the book for.My second reason for wanting the book: I like women and I like to see them beautifully dressed and posed. Simple as that. My copy of the book is new and in perfect condition. The dust jacket is flawless. It is a marvelous book and I'm glad to have it. The Chinese printers are exceptionally talented.
